This project involves the structural, mechanical, electrical and architectural rehabilitation of the Broadway Bridge over the Harlem River. The major work entails the replacement of the roadway deck and supporting stringers, median and electrical operating systems including the submarine cables with droop cables, rehabilitation of the Control House, the two Machinery Houses, Gateman's House and the two Gateman's Shelters. Work also includes localized structural repairs along with the addition of platforms and ladders. Five Star Electric will finish and install labor equipment and materials for the traffic signals, bridge central systems, lighting and the complete replacement of the electrical operating system.
